She is a renowned space scientist and science educator, holding the prestigious position of honorary research associate at University College London's Department of Physics and Astronomy. Additionally, she has been serving as the chancellor of the University of Leicester since March 1, 2023.

Despite a challenging start in life, being given away by his single mother at three months old, Evans found stability and support from his adoptive father, Stanford Rose, who was a farmer in Jamaica.
